  • Malachite

  • Synthetic Malachite

  • Opaque

  • Granulating

  • Lightfastness 8/8

  • Half pan

  • Includes oxgall and Scottish heather honey

This is a handmade watercolor lovingly made by Oto Kano in Edinburgh, Scotland. The watercolor is packed with pigment and easy to rewet. Rich and creamy in consistency. The watercolor is made with a base of Schmincke binders, which includes proper preservatives. It also contains oxgall, which helps the color to move freely in water, and Scottish Heather Honey to make it super easy to rewet. It does not have a strong smell, only a faint smell of the Scottish Heather Honey.

Please scroll down to watch a video about this and other colors on sale.

  • A pro tip when removing the wrapping. Before removing the paper, pop these paints in the freezer. Set a timer for 5 minutes and when the time is up, take them out and the wrapper will come off very cleanly.

  • Please be aware that these are handmade watercolor paints and therefore can experience from some air bubbles in the pan.
